Congratulations to Maryam Awan, EMBA 2012, on her new role as a Change Management Specialist at NAV Canada. As a member of NAV Canada’s management team, Maryam will be responsible for business and organizational excellence through contributions to the Corporation’s strategic business plan, goals and operational activities.
“When I joined the Telfer Executive MBA, I was in the restaurant industry and was determined to make a career change. As a working mom with two young children, this particular program was attractive to me because of its schedule and the real life consulting projects. The Program challenged me to think outside the box and be more creative when solving problems. My understanding of all aspects of business increased significantly and I feel very comfortable communicating with people at all levels about their business. I got my first job offer from EDC before graduating from the Program. Since graduation I have taken on increasingly challenging roles and continue to deepen my knowledge of Change Leadership and Change Management.
The Telfer Executive MBA has also taught me the value of working with a team and building meaningful relationships. I especially enjoy connecting with Telfer Executive MBA Alumni from different cohorts, participating in family events organized by the program and staying connected with the professors.
