Over 150 of the Telfer Executive MBA alumni community enjoyed a day on the farm on July 23, 2018 to take part in the fourth annual “Summer in the Park with Telfer Executive MBA” event.

Summer in the Park took place west of Ottawa at Saunders Farm this year. The new venue provided a multitude of activities and structures for children and parents to enjoy together. These included several tree house structures, the splash pad, two Jumbo Jumpers, Saunder Farm’s famous mazes, a hay ride, and gem mining.

The Telfer Executive MBA treated the community to a barbeque picnic-style lunch, including salad, hamburgers and hotdogs, fresh lemonade, cookies and popcorn, all freshly prepared on-site. Families then moved out into the farm to enjoy other activities with their children such as practicing their trampoline skills on the Jumbo Jumpers or navigating their way through one of the fours mazes on-site.

Other alumni took time to catch up with one another in the shade while their children cooled off from the hot summer day on the splash pad meters away.

The day culminated at 3 p.m. with social media posts from alumni of the day’s events including social tags of new their new connections within their Executive MBA network.

Telfer Executive MBA’s community focus is the pillar of the ‘Summer in the Park’ event. It is an occasion that brings Telfer Executive MBA alumni, candidates and their families together for a day of fun and laughter, to reconnect with peers and network with other alumni as well as introduce their families. Family members and close friends of Telfer Executive MBA candidates and alumni are invited to join staff and faculty for lunch and an afternoon of activities.

Alumni also enjoy several other scheduled annual networking opportunities, including Master Class opportunities, semi-annual pub nights and two more formal events of the Alumni Cocktail in June and Holiday Party in November.
