Dr. Rumaisa Shaukat is a higher education professional with a doctorate in Organizational Studies, and over 16 years of experience working in university settings. She has held various research and administrative positions abroad, and has been associated with the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa since 2004. She teaches multiple graduate and undergraduate courses in the Human Resources Management and Organizational Behaviour Stream.
Her primary research interests focus on organizational learning, the building of learning capacity in organizations and its link to overall organizational performance. She is also interested in better understanding the impact of human resource management practices on individual and organizational health. Other areas of research interests revolve around the topics of leadership, managing organizational change, and corporate social responsibility. She serves as an ad hoc book and journal article reviewer for several publishers and journals on a regular basis.
Rumaisa is an active member of Human Resource Professional’s Association and holds a Certified Human Resource Leader (CHRL) designation. She enjoy her involvement in various service assignments and activities, both on and off campus. Currently, she is a member of the Board of Directors of AFCCS and a member of several AFCCS committees such as Leadership Development Working Group; Administration and Corporate Services Committee; and Program Planning and Accountability Committee.
