 Biography

Professor Large began his career as an engineer in 1975 with Bell Northern Research in Ottawa as project engineer; then Expert Woodcraft in Calgary as an industrial engineer; moving to Esso Resources in Calgary as a project engineer and business analyst. Following his MBA and PhD in Marketing from the Ivey Business School, Professor Large joined the Telfer School of Management in 1991. His teaching and consulting specialty has been Marketing Strategy and Digital Marketing while his research specialty has been technology transfer and/or commercialization. He has been published in journals such as Journal of Product Innovation Management, Journal of Technology Transfer, and Venture Capital. Outside of the University of Ottawa, Professor Large has also held senior roles in the private, online university sector as a VICE-PRESIDENT, ACADEMIC AND AS VICE-PRESIDENT, ADVANCEMENT.
