Meet the Panel and Moderator

Iliana Moderator:  Iliana Oris Valiente (Telfer B.Com, CPA, CA, CBP - Certified Bitcoin Professional), Managing Director, Accenture - Canada Innovation Strategy Lead & Canada Blockchain Lead

Iliana Oris Valiente is a Managing Director at Accenture where she oversees both the Canada Innovation Hub and the Canadian blockchain practice, working with clients to support their strategic transformation journeys leveraging the latest emerging technologies.

Iliana is widely credited for being a trailblazer in the blockchain industry, leading initiatives to conceptualize and build blockchain solutions across industries – focusing on financial services, supply chain, health and public sector. Iliana has strong views on how the network effects of this technology will impact multiple industry verticals, and how it will radically change many status quo business models. Most recently, she founded ColliderX, a non-profit blockchain research and development organization, where she also chairs the board of directors. Iliana is also a contributor to the Tapscott-led Blockchain Research Institute, an Associate at the Creative Destruction Lab, and on the Emerging Leaders Advisory Council for CPA Ontario.

Based in Toronto, Iliana graduated summa cum laude from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and is a certified public accountant and chartered accountant (CPA,CA).

Iliana is a published author and sought-after speaker, having presented at a number of North American and European conferences and events. She has been featured in print and online media, radio and television outlets including CNBC, CBC, NPR, BetaKit, IT World Canada, American Banker, and was named one of the Top 100 Most Influential People In the Blockchain Industry by Coindesk, the main news publication in the industry in 2017.


Phil White Phil White (Telfer B.Adm), Co-Founder and past CEO, Cervelo Cycles; former Chief Innovation Officer, Pon Cycle Group

Phil White is the Co-founder and former Chairman of Cervelo Cycles, a company he successfully grew from a garage startup to an engineering leader in the bike industry with the most popular triathlon bike in the world and the most popular bike in pro cycling.

Since 2017, he has been pursuing new opportunities in innovation, mobility and performance. Previously he was Chief Innovation Officer at Dutch international trading and services company Pon Cycle Group.

He is an alumnus of the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management where he received his bachelor degree.


Chadi Chadi ElKadri, (Telfer MBA), Chief Innovation Officer, SOTI RIL

Chadi ElKadri joined SOTI RIL in 2015 where he currently serves as Chief Innovation Officer. SOTI is an industry leader for mobility and IoT management with thousands of companies around the world that depend on their solutions to secure, manage and support their mobile operations.

Chadi has extensive leadership experience working with technology vendors and service providers with roles in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America. He is passionate about helping organizations innovate on their offerings and expand their business into international markets. Since 2017, he also guest lectures for the University of Waterloo’s Faculty of Engineering.

Chadi is an alumnus of the Telfer School of Management with an MBA in Marketing and International Business. 


Chrystia Chrystia Chudczak (Telfer MBA), Chief Design Officer, University of Ottawa

Chrystia recently joined the University of Ottawa as Chief Design Officer where she supports uOttawa’s innovation across operations, faculties and disciplines. She uses human-centric design tools and techniques to creatively solve problems and prototype solutions.

Chrystia works with students, professors, administrators, staff, partners, stakeholders, alumni, funders and the public to elevate the experience of learning, working, and playing at the University of Ottawa and in Canada's National Capital innovation ecosystem. Previously, Chrystia worked with the Government of Canada in seven different departments, including three central agencies.  From 2015-2018, she ran the Innovation, Science & Economic Development Innovation Lab, which used human centric design to solve problems in policy, programs and regulatory areas across the Government of Canada.

Chrystia holds an MBA in Government Relations from the Telfer School of Management and is a certified LEGO Serious Play Facilitator.
