Bring your lunch and join us for this brown bag session! This event is organized by the Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Strategic Management Area of Strategic Impact (ASI).
This session will focus on the Women’s Enterprise Policy (WEP) Group, a 26-country coalition of scholars who are examining women’s enterprise policies, and a Canadian study that examines inclusion of diverse women entrepreneurs in small business support programs. Drawing on feminist theory, assumptions of policy, program eligibility criteria, rules and regulations of practices are examined. The conversation will then consider strategies to further enhance access to resources for diverse women entrepreneurs, including financial capital and gender-sensitive small business programs. Lessons learned about multi-partner collaborations will also be shared. Related studies can be found at:http://sites.telfer.uottawa.ca/were/
