Mental health problems cost organizations in Canada well over $50 billion annually and are among the leading causes of workplace disability worldwide. Recognizing this, many employers have introduced mental health resources and benefits to better support employees. Yet, these resources are remarkably underutilized –exacerbating the financial and psychosocial costs of poor employee mental health.
In this talk, Dr. Dimoff will briefly outline some of her research on the role of leaders in supporting employee mental health. Using multi-method approaches, Dr. Dimoff will present some of her findings on:
