The President of the MHA Alumni Association and the Director of the MHA Program invite you join us for an engaging evening of networking and professional development with a discussion on lessons learned and developing tends with outgoing CEO of The Ottawa Hospital, Dr Jack Kitts.
Jack Talks: Lessons Learned and Thoughts on Future Challenges in Health Leadership and Management.
Rising from rural life in Renfrew County, with a distinguished career in medicine and service in the Canadian Forces, Dr Kitts entered executive health leadership during a time of significant change, with the mandated consolidation 4 distinct health care organizations into The Ottawa Hospital. After 18 years as CEO he has enjoyed great success, through many challenges, in creating a single world class academic health organization.
A graduate of the Telfer EMBA in 2001, Dr Kitts’ is recognized as one of Canada's foremost Health Leaders, and one with significant contributions to the evolution of the current health system. On this voyage, what pearls of wisdom and lessons learned have shaped him as a Leader? From such broad experience, what does he foresee as the competencies and capabilities required by health leaders of the future? What will our health system likely look like in the decade to come?
This “Jack Talks” is not only about this shared experience and future forecast but a time to also celebrate this stage of Jack's career; please join us in the celebration!
